FBI Heads To South Georgia For Peanut Investigation

Salmonella Outbreak Peanut Corporation Of America  Agents are gathering evidence in the salmonella outbreak that made hundreds sick.

FBI agents spent Monday at the Peanut Corporation of America
in Blakely, Georgia.

The agents were called in by the Food and Drug Administration to assist in the
federal investigation.

Investigators say the company knew it was sending out contaminated products.

The plant is under investigation after a salmonella outbreak was linked to
company. The outbreak has been linked to more than 575 illnesses and 8 deaths.
