Bo Diddley has been released from a Florida hospital, according to a statement from musician's publicist.Diddley was released Saturday after suffering a heart attack (August 29) and having a stent inserted to improve blood flow. He is 78.
Diddley complained of dizziness and nausea during a routine checkup in August. He underwent surgery at a hospital that is near his north central Florida hometown of Archer.
Diddley was hospitalized in Nebraska in May after suffering a stroke after casino performances in Iowa. He was soon transferred to Florida to begin rehabilitation.
The McComb, Mississippi native was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and was given a lifetime achievement Grammy in 1998.
