Family and friends plan a New Year's Eve Blood drive for Joseph Toomey, the Satsuma High School Football player who was paralyzed from the chest down in a car crash November 20th.
Toomey is undergoing rehab at the Shepard Center in Atlanta. Toomey's father says his son moved his leg on his own this morning.
The blood drive will be held December 31st, from 10-4 at the Wal-Mart in Saraland.
If you'd like to keep up with Toomey's progress on a daily basis, his parents have set up a website. See "Toomey Family Blog" under external links.
