LOS ANGELES (AP) - Christina Applegate, who is being treated forbreast cancer, is scheduled to appear on a television special to
raise money for cancer research next month.
A publicist for the actress says the disease was caught early,
thanks to a doctor-ordered MRI and that Applegate is expected to
fully recover. The special, "Stand Up To Cancer," will be aired
on ABC, CBS and NBC on September 5th.
The 36-year-old has been nominated for an Emmy and a Golden
Globe for the show "Samantha Who?", in which she plays a woman
who wakes from a coma with no memory of who she is. She helped
establish the Fox network in 1987 with her role as Kelly Bundy on
"Married ... With Children."
