Ronald Reagan's first wife and the woman who starred in the long-running TV series is being remembered for an acting career that lasted for decades.
In a statement, Jane Wyman's son, Michael Reagan, says his mother was the "classiest lady to ever grace the silver screen."
Wyman, whose film career spanned from the 1930s to 1969, died Monday morning at her California home at the age of 93.
In addition to their adopted son Michael, she and Reagan also had a daughter, Maureen, who died in 2001.
Jane Wyman won an Academy Award for her performance as the deaf rape victim in "Johnny Belinda" in 1948. She would later star on TV's "Falcon Crest" as Angela Channing.
Jane Seymour, who starred in TV's "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," on which Wyman guest-starred in a 1993 episode, says Wyman was "an amazing pro."
