If you park where yellow parade signs are posted your vehicle will be towed. Police say Conti Street needs to stay clear during the festivities in case of an emergency. If you get towed, you will have to pay $125.00 to get your vehicle back. Plus, you will need to provide proof of insurance, your driver's license and tags for your vehicle. Tonight, police towed 3 vehicles. News Five ran into former Mobile Mayor Mike Dow right before his car was almost towed!
"Thank goodness somebody called and told me my car was down here in the parade route, well I should know after all these years but anyway so I'm moving my car...Learn my lesson...never again!" Said the former Mayor of Mobile.
If your vehicle is towed it will be taken to the temporary impound lot between Water and Monroe Streets.
Police will only hold it there until 11pm. After that it will be taken to their regular impound lot on Virginia and Ann Streets, where you might have to pay more to get it back.
