Honoring Former MAMGA President

Mobile Mamga  Former MAMGA President Joseph McCray Junior is honored posthumously with the dedication of gallery in his name at the Mobile Carnival Museum.

MOBILE, Alabama - One of the most important figures in Mobile's Mardi Gras gets a special honor today, 11/01/09. Former MAMGA president Joseph McCray junior passed away this year. Today family and friends gathered to dedicate the MAMGA wing of the Carnival Museum in his name. McCray was MAMGA's third president. Members say he was influential in making the Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association an independent entity.
