Move over vanilla, chocolate and banana... there's a new flavored MoonPie in town.

The Chattanooga Bakery introduced peanut butter pies in January. Stephen Toomey says the new flavored favorites are selling like hot cakes. The Toomey family and the bakery in Tennessee assure us that the peanut butter in their new pies is safe.

The peanut butter comes from a supplier in New Mexico and *not* from one of the salmonella-tainted peanut products being recalled from Georgia's Peanut Corporation of America.

Sounds like one of those Reese’s Cookies, not a moonpie. http://snacks.cyberpunks.org/reesescookies.jpg

The marshmallow goo is what makes it a pie from the moon!

I am ok so far. smile

I guess they are safe if David didn’t get sick.

Tiffany brought some back to the station and i tried one. It was actually pretty good and i am not a big fan of moonpies. It was more like a crunchy cookie with a peanut butter filling no marshmallow.

Peanut butter and marshmellow together? GROSS!
