Mobile police are estimating a crowd of 200,000 people will fill the streets of downtown Mobile for Fat Tuesday celebrations.Revelers have traveled near and far to be a part of this carnival season.
News Five crews caught up with people from Illinois, New York and even Alaska!
"The celebration has just been wonderful," says Ciny Salus, who traveled to the Port City with her son. "Everyone has been very nice to us, and we've really enjoyed ourselves."
Monday's afternoon parade rolled to the beat of the Virginia Military Institutes' drums. King Felix III and his royal court tossed beads and moon pies to crowds of parade-goers.
