According to police, Haines jumped out of his car in front of Rosco Marzette&apos;s house around 8:40pm, hopped a fence and rushed at the 57 year old man in his yard.
Police say a scuffle escalated into a fist fight and that Marzette hit Haines with a pipe.
Haines later died.

Mount Vernon Police say they were chasing a stolen car.
Officers on the scene say at one point in the chase, speeds exceeded 120 miles per hour.
  Offiicers used spike strips to flatten the stolen car&apos;s tires and end the chase.
  They say no one was hurt.
