A woman, shot in the head, may have called 911 before she died. Tonight a manhunt is underway for the man police believe pulled the trigger. The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is calling Reginald Smith a "person of interest." But deputies tell News 5 they believe Smith is the man who shot the woman at her home on Ensley Street in Pensacola.
Deputies also believe Smith is still in the area, so they're asking residents to stay inside and lock their doors until he is caught. The Sheriff's Office has a helicopter in the air, tracking dogs on the ground and deputies posted at as many street corners as possible.
Smith, who was last seen wearing a red flannel shirt, should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911.
News 5 has a crew in Pensacola and will have the latest on the manhunt tonight on News 5 at 10:00 after Comanche Moon.
