A half a dozen vehicles were hit by vandals today in Gulf Breeze. this morning just after 11 a.m. Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out to four different churches and restaurants in reference to vehicles being burglarized. The burglaries occurred at the Gulf Breeze Church of Christ, Santa Rosa Shores Baptist Church, the Ihop, and the Waffle House, all which are in the Tiger Point area of Gulf Breeze. During all of the burglaries, the vehicle windows were smashed out by the suspect in order to gain entry. The suspect was preying on vehicles that had valuables in plain view, such as women’s purses and electronics. The suspect's vehicle was observed at two of the locations by witnesses. The vehicle was described as a mid 90’s model full size Chevrolet pickup truck, gold in color. The truck was believed to be missing the tailgate, or it was possibly in the down position. The tag that was obtained does not belong on the vehicle. The suspect was described as a white male, 6 feet tall, medium to large build, with short blonde/brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white short sleeve tee shirt. No suspects have been identified and the Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the burglaries. Anyone with information concerning the burglaries or the suspect vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP. Anyone providing information that leads to an arrest is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.00.
