The University of South Alabama is looking to hire a head coach to start the school's first ever football program.
WKRG Sports has learned USA officials have talked to at least two coaches about the job in the past 24 hours -- former Southern Mississippi coach Jeff Bower and former Tulane head coach Chris Scelfo.
Both Bower and Scelfo met with USA officials in Mobile Wednesday.
According to a source, the informal meetings were a way to gauge each coach's interest in the job.
USA officials have said they hope to hire a coach in the next two months. The Jags will play their first football game in 2009.

Coach Jeff Bower is the choice over coach Chris Scelfo.  If USA could get Coach Bower it would be great!
