“It has been an honor to serve the nation and the citizens of the Northern District of Florida as their United States Attorney for these past six years," Miller said. "The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Northern Florida is routinely recognized as one of the finest U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the nation. I am most grateful to the dedicated and hard working professionals on my staff who have made this, quite simply, the best job I have ever had."
President Bush nominated Miller in May of 2002. He becan his career in public service in 1978 as an Officer Candidate with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He is one of only 30 remaining original appointees in the first class of post 9/11 United States Attorneys.
Miller oversees 34 attorneys in Gainesville, Tallahassee, and Pensacola. During the past six years, Miller has placed a priority on the investigation and prosecution of child exploitation offenses, civil rights violations, white collar crime, organized crime, and drug trafficking.
