Living conditions at an off-campus apartment complex for University of South Alabama Students are much better.
Saturday, some students told News Five when they arrived for move-in day, they didn't have running water, electricity, appliances, or even sinks.
some also said they couldn't flush their toilets and had to go to other places to take a shower.
Since Saturday, repair crews and construction workers have been trying to fix all the problems.
One student told News Five that the real problem was that the grove was trying to do a rush job.
"It was a total mess. There was paint and stuff all over the floor. There was a beer bottle under my kitchen sink when I moved in. There was paint and stuff on the furniture from where people got sloppy and stuff like that. So it was just real disorganized and you could tell that it was put together really quickly," said tenant Morgan Rice.
Campus Crest is the company that owns The Grove.
The sales manager told News Five that there was a water leak and in order to fix it, all the water had to be shut off.
Ss of Wednesday, all the units have running water and air conditioning.
All repairs should be complete within a month.
