According to a trooper report, 24-year old Gary Allen West, Jr. was driving a 2005 Chevrolet pickup that wrecked on County Road 1, 7 miles south of Perdue Hill.
A passenger in the truck, 21 year old Justin Aaron Bedsole of Semmes was also killed.
The accident happened at 9:50pm/

What an impact these two young men made on their communities! I did not know either of them personally, but have heard so many wonderful things about them. There were reportedly over 9000 people at the wake. Can you imagine? A PSA was aired on Saturday by WABB, to invite people to a special baptism, for those who dedicated their lives to Christ at the services for these two young men. WOW! Special memorial services were held at MGM for Justin, and memorial funds and scholarships have been set up through their church (Pathway) and at MGM. What a testimony to these young men and their families! No one ever wants to lose a loved one. I cannot imagine their pain, but I hope in the weeks ahead, they will see that amongst the pain, there was good also. You all are in my prayers......
