Mobile police arrest two brothers and an accomplice for robbing the CVS pharmacy on Dauphin Street in Midtown.

Police say Anthomas and Brandon Carr walked into the CVS around 10:00 p.m. Sunday armed with handguns and their faces covered. They demanded money from the cashier. Someone happened to be passing by the pharmacy, saw the robbery in progress, and call 911.

When police arrived, Antonio Brown, the Carr brothers' alleged accomplice, was trying to jump in the getaway car and take off. The Carr brothers ran down Florida Street to Old Shell and tried to hide at the On and On convenience store. Police found Brandon hiding in the bathroom. Anthomas has locked himself in the storeroom.

This is not the Carr brothers first run-in with the law. Both were out on bond for previous crimes.

Anthomas Carr was arrested two months ago outside the Starbucks on Airport Boulevard.

Police say Brandon Carr robbed the Wachovia Bank on Water Street last year and was awaiting trial for the June 2006 robbery of the Carmike 10 theaters on Government.

“We are very disappointed and concerned that violent individuals like these are released on bond to continue their criminal enterprise,” said Deputy Chief James Barber.

All three men are charged with robbery. They'll be in court tomorrow morning for a bond hearing.

“We plan on seeking the assistance of the judges to prevent these two career criminals from being released,” said Barber.

We could do like the countries in the Middle East.  You steal you lose a hand you steal again you lose the other hand.  At this point they would be losing feet.  I do not like alot of what goes on in the Middle East but I do like some of the punishments.  I think criminals would think differently if stoning was a way to be put to death.  And they say his jaw dropped when he heard the bail amounts, just think what he would have done if they said you are going to lose your hand for stealing.  And how do these guys have access to bank accounts all over the south?    Where did they get this money?  Profits from drug sells, money from the robberies?

They never hurt anybody, why should they get life in prison? Three meals a day, a warm bed, a “job,” cable TV, free use of gym equiptment—-all paid for by us!

Sounds like a sweet deal for just a few robberies.

we all pay enough in taxes to correct the record keeping   if those clerks cant do their job then tell them to move over and let somebody come in who will   if someone in my family ever gets hurt because someone in the courthouse didnt do their job then look for major changes because i will camp outside
i will make the war protestors in washington look like a piece of cake   with my faithful protest   i would never give up

The judge was only going by what was given to him,  this is due to the clerks not doing their jobs.  Record keeping not centralized, lack of updating job descriptions, overloads of court cases, lack of interest, lack of ability, etc, pick the one’s you like, add the reason’s you think of….......................

what the judge thinking to allow them bond

3 strikes is to many   look at the auburn student   her killers were out on parole

If Alabama does not have a three strike law already we need one for people like this.    3 strikes = life
