The scare started this morning when a school bus driver saw a student put what she thought was a real gun into his backpack. She notified a crossing guard, who then told school officials.During the investigation, Richbourg Middle School and Northwood Elementary School in Crestview, Florida went into lockdown. Investigators tracked down a 5th grader, a 6th grader and a 7th grader they believed were involved in the scare. The boys admitted they brought two toy guns with them to school, but stashed them in bushes at a nearby home. They planned to pick them up on the way home.
Since no threats were made and the toy guns were never brought onto school property, no charges will be filed.
