Iowa Immigration Iowa Republicans unveil new plan to crackdown on illegal immigration.

Senate Republicans are out with a plan Tuesday that they said would help fix Iowa's illegal immigration problems. A major focus of the plan is to clearly spell out immigration regulations for employers to make it easier follow the law. It would use Iowa Workforce Development to coordinate with employers and help them verify that employees' work papers are legal. Businesses and government agencies could then issue IDs similar to federal "green cards."

Under the GOP plan, illegal immigrants would be cut off from government services except in emergency situations, and couldn't enroll in public universities and community colleges or get tuition help. It also includes training for local law enforcement, and dedicating state troopers to immigration enforcement in each of the state's 14 districts.

When the Illegals go to get a US drivers license they SHOULD be DEPORTED on the spot not issed a license!

If Riley needs money fine all companies that hire illegal immigrant about $ 5000. for each person working who is a illegal immigant..I bet there would not be a lot of work for them then…Also fine people who pay off the books to welfair works..And if you sale drugs 10 years no geting out ..if you buy drugs 5 years no geting out..and when you get out you must pay back what the jail payed for you to be in jail..welfair should be for only 2 years ,them you cant get back on it for 5 years..And only 2 times a life time…..I know im to hard…....and you are to easy

We need a place to report suspected illegals so they can be picked up and deported. I sent a email to Gov Riley for this and never received a reply.
In the Western States they are leaving because they cannot work and the Companies are paying better wages so youcan see the new state laws are working.
COME ON GOV RILEY ,GET TO THE PROBLEM , GET SOMETHING DONE.

While illegal immigration continues to increase, the legislators and Bob Riley dance to the music of the Pied Piper of Alabama politics, Paul Hubbert. Too bad the legislature is scared to address this problem while bob riley is busying counting revenue from the latest Take Our Highways Back tax scheme
