WHITE HOUSE (AP) - Five NCAA football coaches have filledShort URL: http://wkrg.com/a/14272/
President Bush in on their recent visit to military bases in the
Middle East.
Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis told Bush that they came home
probably more inspired than the troops were.
The five coached a flag football game on one base.
The other coaches stopping by the Oval Office to report on the
trip were Mark Richt from the University of Georgia, Randy Shannon
from the University of Miami, Yale University's Jack Siedlecki and
Tommy Tuberville of Auburn.
The head coaches visited military personnel in Germany, Qatar,
Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and aboard the USS Nassau, on a trip
coordinated by the Defense Department.
