A Theodore business will have a harder time helping hurricane victims if another storm like Katrina hits the Gulf Coast this hurricane season. The State Fire Marshal says an arsonist is to blame for a fire at Pot-O-Gold Waste Services on Theodore-Dawes Road. The company’s general manager says portable toilets were set aside for disaster relief. But hundreds of them are now down the drain after they were destroyed by the fire early Sunday morning. The general manager says the company is now around 200-grand worth of toilets in the hole, something that could have gone a long way if we get hit with another hurricane, "well it just makes us a little less prepared. It makes it to where we wouldn't be able to help near as many people or place near as many units out to where people would have facilities you know because there are no rest rooms during a hurricane," said Pot-O-Gold Waste Services General Manager, Joel Caraway. Pot-O-Gold Waste Services is offering a 10-thousand dollar reward for anyone who has information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. If you have information you can call the State Fire Marshal Arson Hotline at 1-800-654-0775.
