Some folks in Seminole are looking for a little divine intervention after a 30 foot travel trailer is stolen from their church. Church members are willing to forgive if they get the camper back.
The Seminole Holiness Church has seen better days, "Our church which was built in 1929 which you can see is in pretty bad shape." Pastor Kenny King says members bought a 30 foot, 2000 model Coachman travel trailer to fix up, sell and then take the profits to repair the church roof. "We had parked it in front of the church and we put it up for 10 thousand dollars."
For the last couple of weeks the camper sat beside the church along the highway looking for a buyer but Ping says it appears they got a taker instead. "Somebody needed it worse than we did last night between six o'clock last night and six o'clock this morning somebody helped themselves to it."
Church member James Ping says it's still hard to believe. "For someone to come on church property and take something such as this. It's taking away from the house of the Lord as far as repairs and stuff we were expecting to get from those profits from the camper. It's just shocking."
The church wants whoever took the trailer to put it back where they found it. no questions asked, forgiveness granted.
Ping says the thieves even took two welcome mats outside the camper. The travel trailer is not insured.
