The Escambia County, Florida Sheriff's Office says 11 students were injured last week at school when someone threw rocks at them while they were playing on the playground. Witnesses say the rocks were being thrown from a nearby wooded area. No one could see who was throwing the rocks. Investigators say the children were struck in the head, neck, arms and legs by the rocks.
Deputies found numerous rocks in the area on the ground where the suspect or suspects may have been hiding. The incident was reported to School Board Security. There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information about the crime is urged to contact Crimestoppers at 850-433- STOP.
