Five-hundred students missed class on Friday. One-hundred twenty were absent Monday. But a school spokesperson believes today's absences may be flu related and not because of the suicide.
On Thursday, 18-year-old Jajuan Holmes shot himself in front of 150 classmates in the school gym. The school was under lockdown for a while, but classes resumed later that day. Many parents and students questioned the school district's decision to resume class.
