A deputy tried to pull over Donna Early just before 5:00 this morning at Bellingrath Road and Ann Street in Theodore. But she hit the gas and tried to out run the long arm of the law. The deputy called in the chase and another put out stop sticks at County Farm Road and McDonald Road. When she hit the stop sticks, Early got out and ran into the woods. Deputies ran after her and caught up with Early before 5:30.
Early was arrested on numerous charges, including reckless endangerment, attempting to elude, possession of drug paraphernalia and a switched tag. As it turns out, Early was wanted on an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
“There are many unknown factors and dangers that a deputy must take into account when pursuing a suspicious vehicle; thanks to the professional job by our deputies, they were able to end this pursuit without injuries to anyone,” said Sheriff Sam Cochran.
