New information about a federal investigation into the illegal use and sale of anabolic steroids, steroid prescriptions that federal authorities say were filled right here in Mobile. The U.S. Attorney's office says three more doctors will plead guilty to federal charges. The feds say Dr. Kenneth Olds and Dr. Kelly Tucker of Greeley, Colorado authorized illegal steroid prescriptions. We're also told Dr. Pamela Pyle, an Osteopath from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was also authorizing steroid prescriptions and had knowledge of the illegal operation but didn't report it to authorities. Also named in this nationwide investigation is a local pharmacy. Federal authorities say the steroid prescriptions were filled at Applied Pharmacy Services on International Drive in Mobile. According to the feds, all three doctors were being paid as much as a 100 dollars for each customer they authorized prescriptions for. Federal authorities say the prescriptions were faxed to Applied Pharmacy and shipped to the customer. We wanted to know who these customers are, "well we haven't disclosed the names of the people and I don't want to go into the specific names of the people that are getting the steroids because that's not the tenor of our investigation. It's really more to shut down the illegal sale of steroids across the board whether they're a famous athlete or as in this case one of the youngest people was 19 years old," said Assistant U.S. Attorney, Greg Bordenkircher. Back in January, Dr. Scott Corliss of Colorado plead guilty to being a part of this same operation. We're told no one with Applied Pharmacy Services has been charged yet.
