Casting agents are looking for southern belles who are not camera shy..Lifetime Network is in Mobile for a casting call for its new show. The documentary style series will focus on the new and old south.
News 5 caught up with one candidate in Mobile Friday evening.
Heather Walker owns a local boutique.
She spent time with one of the shows producers.
Here is the news release from the casting company, Evolution Film and Tape:
In this new LIFETIME NETWORK documentary-style series, we’ll see the New and Old South through the eyes of several well-established Southern Belles who are successfully navigating the social system and are maybe even watching their own daughters begin to walk in their footsteps, while still being independent and forward thinking women.
We’ll follow their journey and the rites of passage along the way and with these real women as our entry point, we’ll become members of the Mobile community. We’ll see the multi-generational, multi-layered social and civic life, and share private family moments as well.
While Southern women are definitely very positive, it’s not all moonlight and magnolias… What we’ll find is a rich and varied life where everything, especially the women, have a unique regional flair. It’s about standing out and fitting in… and using a sweet drawl to smooth over life’s rough spots.
Evolution Film & Tape will be holding open casting on Saturday, April 12th from 9 am – 1 pm, at the Mobile Botanical Gardens, in the Larkins Learning Center, 5151 Museum Drive, Mobile 36608. Women only please.
