"We're stopping people and asking them questions about the robbery and assault," says Capt. Steve Arthur with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. "We want to know if they traveled this route last Saturday at this time when Wilson was attacked. Hopefully, these roadblocks will generate new tips and leads in the case."
Drivers we spoke say they didn't mind the roadblocks.
"I don't mind at all," says Ron Wilkins, who was stopped and questioned. "Anything that'll help catch the people who did this to Bobby."
Bobby Wilson remains in critical condition at U-S-A Medical Center. A 32-thousand dollar reward was issued last week for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. If you have any information about the attack, call the Spanish Fort Police Department or the Baldwin County Violent Crimes Task Force at 990-HOPE.
