Teachers and students at Norma Mae Hutchins Elementary School are trying to cope with the heat this afternon. The school has no air conditioning because of a power outage. Nancy Pearce with Mobile County Schools tells News 5 that Alabama Power expects it to take several hours to get the power turned back on. At this time, students are not being dismissed, but any parent who wishes to pick up their child will be allowed to do so.
