The Escambia County Sheriff's Office says a school bus aid slapped a special needs student and then held the boy's hands behind his back.
The bus driver, Tonda Swanson, told deputies the 8-year-old boy takes his shoes and socks off every time he gets on her bus. But when she tried to help him put them back on this morning, Swanson says her bus aid, Marion Haro, yelled at her and said he needs to do it by himself. Before she got back to the front of the bus, Swanson says she turned around and saw Haro holding the child's hands behind his back.
Another witness on the bus says she saw Haro slap the boy's shoulder, then take his hands and pull them behind his back. The witnesses says Haro then yelled at the boy and told him to put his shoes and socks on right now.
Haro was arrested on child abuse charges. She will be in court December 6th.
