A woman's severed head was discovered in a trash can along Interstate 380 in Pennsylvania yesterday (Tuesday, 1/29). An additional eight bags containing body parts were also found scattered along the 20-mile stretch of highway.Today, authorities are continuing to investigate the gruesome murder (Wednesday, 1/30).
The first bag was found Tuesday morning by a state road worker salting the highway.
Authorities said that so far they have not yet determined how long the bags have been on the Interstate.
An autopsy has been scheduled for the unidentified woman today.
