It's inexpensive and easy to get. Now, some Florida lawmakers want
to make it illegal in Florida.
Salvia divinorum is a hallucinogenic herb. An ounce of it sells
for around $30 on the Internet.
Native to Mexico and still grown there, Salvia divinorum is
generally smoked but can also be chewed or made into a tea and
drunk.
Called nicknames like Sally-D, Magic Mint and Diviner's Sage,
salvia gives users an out-of-body sense of traveling through time
and space or merging with inanimate objects. Unlike hallucinogens
like LSD or PCP, however, salvia's effects last for a shorter time,
generally up to an hour.
No known deaths have been attributed to salvia's use. And Rick
Doblin of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies
says salvia isn't "a party drug." He doesn't expect it to become
extremely popular because he says it "tastes terrible."
But Florida state Senator Evelyn Lynn says the drug should be
criminalized. Her committee plans to study the Salvia divinorum
bill today.

Black Bear Busts Secret Pot Farm

I tried this crap about 5 years ago, they used to sell it right there in Mobile. I would not recommend it to anyone, gives you a headache like you wouldn’t believe, and does not give what I would call a “pleasant experience”. However, it should not surprise anyone that they making it illegal. How many other natural substances that have legitimate natural healing and medicinal purposes can you think of that are illegal?? If I’m not mistaking Alabama is trying to make it illegal also. It’s not like the jails aren’t overcrowded enough, now they gonna throw more people in there for trying to get a “cheap high”!!
