Bad weather may have forced searchers to stop Wednesday afternoon, but the Mobile County Sheriff's Flotilla will be back at work Thursday morning trying to find the last of four children who police say were thrown from the Dauphin Island Bridge by their father. You have probably seen the Mobile County Sheriff's Flotilla out on the water, but what you may not know is the non-profit group is made up entirely of volunteers. They have been searching for days, taking time off from their jobs with one goal in mind: to find the children. And, there are no plans to stop until the last child is found. But, the man who heads up the flotilla says he and the crew could use your help, " I need people from Mobile Bay to Dauphin Island to still go out and look, these, sometimes your drift patterns are not what you think. But, I think Chevron, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Biloxi, anybody on the beach, if you're fishing tomorrow or walking the beach, please y'all look for that last angel so we can complete our mission," said Mobile County Sheriff's Flotilla Captain, Paul Stewart. If you do find anything, Captain Stewart says call your local 911 operator. Stewart also tells News 5, the Mobile County Commission has given the Flotilla an extra 10-thousand dollars to aid in this search. But, if you would like to make a donation, you can send a check to the Mobile County Sheriff's Flotilla at P.O. Box 9916, Mobile, Alabama, 36691.
