Mobile County Animal Control is asking for your help to catch the person who shot a puppy, shattered it's leg and set it on fire.
Animal Control Officers say the 7-month-old Shepherd-Hound mix was found on Jones Road in Theodore. The puppy's right front leg was shattered, from shoulder to paw. The same leg was also set on fire. Someone also shot the puppy's left front leg. On top of all that, the puppy was also starving.
Unfortunately, the puppy had to be euthanized today because it's injuries were too severe.
Mobile County Animal Control is looking for the puppy's owners and trying to catch whoever tortured it. If you have any information about this animal cruelty case, please give them a call at 251.574.3230.

Please focus on the picture of this puppy and picture in your mind what it must have gone through. Then say a Christmas prayer for this puppy and stop bickering between yourselves. This is about treatment this puppy didn’t deserve. It got no love or care, only abuse from birth to death. It’s not about you.

There may be much more to this torture than you realize. The torture of this puppy as well as the story of the beagle that was skinned alive definitely has all the marks of a satanic cult. I suspect there are many more animal tortures happening in these areas that will never be known except to those who are doing it

Hey “KSJD"… I do donate money to the SPCA, feed, trap, and neuter feral cats in my neighborhood, and volunteer at the no-kill shelter. SO YOU GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE! You don’t even know me. Also, I said nothing about the size of the cage.

I knew what you were saying. I can tell you are a liberal, you try and spin everything and in the mean time you make yourself look like a complete fool. But either way, you are the type that cannot carry on decent conversation so I am not even wasting my time with you anymore.

They make medication for your condition, you know. If you comprehend what you read, I said basically that you are correct because I found out the information on why the puppy had to be put down. What I said about wkrg is they give us this story with no follow up on it. What I did was humble myself and gave you credit for being right. Now, get over yourself and learn to absorb what you read.

SO NOW IT IS ON WKRG WHO SHOULD HAVE DONE A FOLLOW UP. YOU HOULD REALLY GO BACK AND READ YOUR STATEMENTS. You are criticizing everybody and everything the SPCA did and until you talk to someone who happened to be in the situation with this puppy you are now changing your sotry adn trying to focus on who did it and trying to find them. make up your mind are you bashing the SPCA for the way they treated him or are with them now agreeing with there decision. I dont really care either way I just think you are making yourself out to be the hypocrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Artichoke is doing JUST fine with a prosthetic leg that was made for him. He is bubbly and happy. BUT, I did talk to the vet’s assistant this afternoon (my horses are boarded at her house). She is aware of this puppy and she told me that this poor little guy was already in a state of trauma and he would have never survived the amputation. She also said that this puppy was malnourished and had no strength. The focus should be on finding this idiot that did this and put him/her in jail. Laws need to be changed concerning this and it will continue until they become felonies.

wkrg NEVER does a follow up on this type thing.
