Alabama lawmakers will have a lot more than politics to talk about when they convene next week for the start of the 2008 legislative session. Representative Spencer Collier (R-Mobile) was involved in a fight with another man on the campus of Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette yesterday. "He came to the police department and wanted to file a report," says Bay Minette Police Chief Michael Rowland. "He was pretty banged up and bloody so our desk officer told him to go to the hospital." Collier would not talk to News 5 about the incident. "Faulkner has their own police department," says Rowland. "So we aren't handling the case, the college and what happens on campus is their jurisdiction." News 5 obtained the two-page police report from Faulkner State. The report identifies Terry Wheat as the other man involved in the fight. The report also states that neither Collier or Wheat pressed charges. Wheat also received medical treatment. No charges have been filed in the case.
