Gulf Shores police have released the name of the 60-year-old man who drowned in Little Lagoon.

Police say Leonard Ronan, Jr was fishing Tuesday night. Witnesses told police that Ronan slipped around 7:30 p.m. and was swept away by strong currents.

After a two hour search, Ronan's body was found about three blocks east of Callaway Pass.

Police and the Baldwin County Coroner's Office is investigating the drowning.
