One other comment for now-I have said in other forums and posts that are anti law enforcement, don’t judge until you have walked in their shoes. There are citizen academies and citizen ride alongs if you want to see the true life of law enforcement. Take the time to check it out. I am very proud to be the wife a dedicated officer and to know MANY more fine and upstanding officers and their families. It is also not right to judge these two, until we know the whole story-it could be possible that what the first poster said is right-not that that makes what THEY did right, because it is not their job to “pay” informants-but I suppose some could get that TV land mentality.

You can’t base opinions on an entire department on what two have done. If that were the case, would we not trust every black person, because a few robbed stores or whatever. Would we not trust every doctor, because a few made poor judgments or someone died during surgery. The list could go on and on. To vent such venom, on an overall fine department is ridiculous. I am in no means justifying their actions-but to group the whole department as untrustworthy or crooked is insane.

I agree, you can’t trust cops. The law has no meaning anymore to most cops…  I don’t believe that anything will be done about it! More than likely nothing will be done to these cops either… the city will come up with some story like carl has, to let them off the hook.

These guys are dead. How do ex cops do in prison? At least they didn’t hurt any Pit Bulls.

THEY WILL COME UP WITH SOMETHING TO GET OUT OF IT…....YOU CAN NOT TRUST THE POLICE…YES THERE IS SOME VERY GOOD OFFICERS OUT THERE…AND THESE MAKE THEM LOOK BAD…..THIS SHOWS EVERYONE YOU CANT EVEN TRUST THE POICE….....I HAVENT TRUSTED THE POLICE IN YEARS BECAUSE OVER THE YEARS YOU SEE THERE IS MORE CROCKED POLICE OUT THERE…...I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE THEM BOND….........

I think the punishment depends on the motive.I have heard of cases of this type over the years where this has happened and the reason given was ,they were giving the drugs to their drug addicted informants who was giving them valuable information on other crimes, not that this is the case here, just a possibilty.
