Police say Melvin Mendez Sanchez was discovered in the Bon Secour River this morning.
The river is near the Oyster Bay area and the Intercoastal Waterway Canal.
Gulf Shores police say Sanchez was reported missing on January 18.
Investigators believe he had been in the water for several days.
Forensic investigators will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death and to make a positive ID.
At this time, police do not suspect foul play.
