Mistaken identity, confusion and physical comedy are all part of the English farce “See How They Run.” The classic 1940’s play opens Friday night and runs this weekend and next. The story revolves around life at a Vickery and the Vickers’s wife, Penelope.

“England was still able to laugh at things like this,” says Director Jerry Henderson. “I think having an American in the scene made it more appealing, his not understanding half the things that were going on.” With almost everyone in the show being mistaken for a Priest, a lot of pratfalls and punch lines follow.

“The title is 'See How They Run' and when you work on the show, you run a lot, you run,” says actor Timothy Guy. In the daytime, he’s a hairdresser in Fairhope. At night he dons an American military uniform and plays Clive on stage. He says it’s tough juggling a fulltime job and the theatre at night.

“I want to support the arts as much as I can,” says Guy. “Where as I can't always do it financially, I can volunteer my time.”
