5 hours is quite long for a planned outage isn’t it? What of people that have special needs and require the power, whether it be for a business, a family member, or even pets? Even if they are replacing the lines I don’t see how 5 hours is necessary. Are they cutting the lines out then replacing them? Seems to me like they could run the new lines first then server the new connection quickly reestablishing the connection with the now pre-run new lines. Then again I’m not an engineer for the power company or anything so what do I know?
