A plane that crashed into Big Creek Lake in 1982 is finally back on dry land. The Mobile County Sheriff's Office believes the plane belonged to Richard Doug Flint. Flint's body was found days after his plane went down, but until recently, no one knew what happened to the plane. Earlier today the Mobile County Sheriff's Office Flotilla along with the NTSB went to the lake to take pictures of the plane and make a record of its tail numbers. They couldn't get clear pictures without raising the plane from the lake bottom. Right now it isn't clear where the plane is being taken. The Sheriff's Flotilla will pay for the removal.
