Part of South Baylen Street will be closed starting from Aug. 18 until Christmas Day. Pensacola Road Closure

South Baylen Street between Main and Cedar streets is scheduled to be closed August 18 until December 25 for storm drainage upgrades.

Traffic will be detoured around the area during that time, said Brett Moylan with Roads Inc. of Northwest Florida, which is handling the project.

Also, Intendencia Street between Florida Blanca and Tarragona streets will be closed between 7 a.m. August 18 and 7 a.m. August 25 for installation of crosswalk pavers, said Tony Smith with J.B. Coxwell Contracting, which is handling that project.
