She loved the church and adored music too!

Tammy Litton, wife of a prominent Mobile County pastor died in a car accident on Thursday.

Litton's husband, Reverend Ed Litton, pastors at First Baptist North Mobile. According to church officials, Litton and her daughter were headed to meet a music professor at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that while the two were headed west on U.S. 98 near Lucedale in Greene County, their S-U-V ran into the back of a stalled 18-wheeler truck.

Mrs. Litton died on the scene. Her daughter was treated and released from the hospital. The accident is still under investigation.

Church officials tell News 5 that Litton was a professional musician and had plans to open a music school at the Saraland church next week. The opening has been postponed by a week and will now be part of her legacy.

Tammy Litton leaves behind a husband and three children.
