MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Police say a Montgomery pastor appears to have died of injuries he received after being run over by hisown car and foul play is suspected.
An Alabama State University police officer on routine patrol of the campus found the body of 53-year-old Reverend Paul Boswell
after stopping to check on a parked vehicle.
ASU Police Chief J.H. Young found Boswell's body after stopping to check on a parked vehicle around 12:30 a.m. yesterday. The body
was underneath a silver Cadillac owned by Boswell. The vehicle was parked in front of an abandoned house.
Boswell had been pastor of Peoples Baptist Church for more than 30 years.
The church is located on ASU property. The abandoned house is a block from the church and is not on ASU property.
Montgomery Police spokesman Huey Thornton said foul play is suspected. Thornton said police didn't immediately have any
suspects.
Boswell leaves behind a wife and four children.
