Pascagoula Police Involved In Shooting

Pascagoula Police Shooting  Domestic violence call leads to shots being fired.  Police say a man pointed a gun at them.

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - Jackson County District Attorney
Anthony Lawrence will investigate a shooting involving Pascagoula
police officers.
Authorities say officers were responding to a domestic violence
call Friday night and shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at
them.
Wesley Howard Shepperd was in stable condition at Singing River
Hospital.
Police said Shepperd pointed the gun at them when they entered
an apartment. He was shot several times. Lawrence said a woman in
the apartment was not seriously hurt.
Lawrence said his office will investigate the shooting and
criminal charges could be filed against Shepperd.
