Three adults and two children were on the boat at the time of the accident. Two patients had head injuries and were flown by Lifeflight Helicopter to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Two others were taken by ambulance. One patient refused treatment.
Razorsharp,
Thank you for your kind words. In all honesty yes the boater was drinking. And just by being over the limit does not mean that he was actually drunk. For my family’s sake I hope this does teach him a lesson. Also I hope this is a lesson to all others who decide to go boating at night. That was the main reason for the accident.
Southernpride7,
I am so glad to hear that your family is ok. It’s sad to think that they almost lost their lives because of someone else’s careless, thoughtless, and reckless behavior. I am sorry if the person operating the boat is also related to you. I hope that in the future, he will make better decisions and act more responsibly…it could be a matter of life and death.
one of the ones that was life flighted to baptist was my sister in law. and her son was taken by ambulance. they are both at home recoverying from their injuries.
I hope these individuals are ok. I have seen numerous near accidents in this area. It infuriates me when I see people speeding underneath the bridge knowing that it is a NO WAKE zone. The jetties, of course, are past that, but still…people need to be more careful.
does anyone have any info on this accident?
why was a single woman on a boat with 2 married men?
