PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a Northrop Grumman ShipSystems employee has died from injuries he suffered in an accident
at the shipyard March 12.
Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus said 48-year-old Moss Point
resident Ray Anthony "Tony" Graham died from head trauma Thursday
at Singing River Hospital.
Northrop Grumman spokesman Bill Glenn said Graham's death is the
first fatality resulting from an industrial accident at the
shipyard since 1994. However, one employee died in 2005 when he was
shot by a co-worker at the shipyard and another died of natural
causes last year.
Glenn said Graham's accident is under investigation by the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Glenn said Graham
worked as a quality assurance inspector.
