Yep that’s right, STRIKE, like a bitter union employ who feels they deserve more because of entitlement rather than merit. Burns you up to see someone payed by the same people, making more don’t it.

engtchr, please! Why Whine? Your union protected! You chose your career and who you work for. If you don’t like it you have options. Unlike the indoctrinated kids in the public schools.
  Further more, YEP, I’m one of those that spent many years blinded by the indoctrination of Mobile Co. public schools. I have met a few teachers that care. VERY FEW. You may be one but the overwhelming majority are tere to get as much as possible while doing as little as possible.
  I don’t mean to sound bitter, but hey, I am what ya’ll made me!!!!

How can he look Mobile County teachers in the eye? Some make only a few hundred dollars more a month than his travel expense pay! This is ludicrous. Teachers do all of the work, but he gets the glory and pay when scores go up? It’s time to strike.

Public schools aren’t about teaching students. It’s a business and this prove it! The only way the teaching will ever improve is to offer families vouchers so they may pick the school their child goes to. That opens up competition and eleminates the complacency the teachers AND board members suffer from currently!

This is OUTRAGIOUS!!!!  How can you justify the salary of Mr. Nichols when the Mobile County Public School are in the shape their in?  Quote me when I say “Under paid teachers mean under taught students”.  That may not be true for some teachers but I do think it carries weight with some.  This announcement had to have brought the morale of teachers to the breaking point.  Year after year we hear about or read about MCPS performance levels are poor, mainly schools that are in low income areas, sure they build new schools but the quality of teaching remains the same. Here’s my cure:

1.  Replace all Mobile County School Board members with fresh young members who are on the cutting edge of education.  The old way has come and gone let’s teach for the future.

The lady that is on the school board that was so proud of what they did for him, why cant they be so proud of the teachers of mobile county??????? give the bonus and the pay hike that they need too… and the 1,0000 a month for travel expenses,, are could we say put some of the money for the school that need it…
