A Washington County middle school teacher accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student is rearrested.
Sheriff Richard Stringer tells News 5 that his deputies arrested 54-year-old Charlene Schmitz Friday night at a football game in Leroy. After her original arrest, the judge barred Schmitz from having any contact with the alleged victim. But she ignored that order Friday when deputies say she sat next to the teenage boy during the game. Schmitz will be in court tomorrow for a bond hearing on the latest charges.
Schmitz is on paid administrative leave from Leroy Middle School. She was first arrested June 22 after mother of the 14-year-old gave police dozens of sexually explicit e-mails she claims Schmitz sent her son.

PAID administrative leave?! Has to be a union thing. Thank you wkrg for increasing my contempt for unions, teachers in them, and the media! Outstanding job!
