Cheerleaders and athletes from Mary G. Montgomery High School are headed to court after a Semmes woman says they vandalized her home.Tracy sellers says she woke up one morning in July and found a sticky, toilet papered mess at her Semmes home. "They honeyed my car, cookies smeared all over it. Potato in the muffler. They had salted my whole front yard... confetti fruit loops toothpicks, flour. They put Vaseline on the mailbox. Honey all over front door honey all over the garage door shredded my phone book."
Sellers is president of the cheerleading booster club and believes the firing of the squad's coach prompted this prank.
She says the damage was estimated at $5,600 but just wanted an apology. When she didn't get one, she pressed charges.
Originally, the girls each had a letter sent home to turn themselves in. Each was charged with criminal mischief. On Thursday, the charge for each was changed to conspiracy to commit criminal mischief. Sheriff's deputies showed up on campus and hauled all eight off in a paddy wagon with handcuffs
Mickey Dearmon is the father of one of the teens. He says the girls were at his house and didn't do it! "They were at my house that night and like I said, I've got security all over this place. They would of went outside, I would have knew about it. These kids.. they are what they are but I know they didn't do this and I'll spend every dime I got to prove it."
According to a spokesperson for the school system, the girls have not been suspended.

It’s amazing that no one else in the community was surprised. When kids came home and started naming names-it was like-well it’s about time.
